Never Too Late: Why I’m Restarting My English Journey Today

I have resolved to master English many times before. The first time was a decade ago during my university days. My roommate, Zongzhen Li, was exceptionally proficient in English—winning numerous awards and ranking number one in our school, which I deeply admired.

While I knew English offered distinct career advantages, I always struggled to stick with it. Currently, my reading skills are decent, but my listening and writing need significant improvement. In fact, my favorite English word used to be “very”—I relied on it constantly in my writing!

Today, I am making a firm commitment once again. I want a better career, and I know this skill is essential to boost my income. Age is just a number, and it is never too late to learn. From now on, I will dedicate an hour every day to this journey. After all, teaching is the best way to learn. By sharing my essays, I hope to inspire others while mastering the language myself.

Since AI entered my world, it has inspired me and sparked my creativity to tackle anything.

Enter my world / Come into my life (进入我的世界/生活 — 比 “come to” 更自然) Spark my creativity / Ignite my drive (激发我的创造力/点燃我的动力 — 远比 “give me sparks” 地道) Tackle anything (从容应对任何事 — 替代 basic 的 “do everything”)
